This came out pretty nice. There's 5 baffles inside. About 1" apart. Concentricity is excellent for a drill press job.

Did you guys do any polishing on the holes after you drilled out the baffles? I was wondering about doing that when my kit and stamp arrive.

Probably just OCD on my part.

Absolutely not. My thought is the less smooth the gas flow, the better. I've read guys who claim that cans sound a little more quiet after the baffles are a little roughed up and carbon coated. Not sure if it's true, but I like the idea of a little unfinished edges in the can.

Interesting, I had never thought of that.

Thanks for the tip, and it definitely speed up the production time when the stamp comes back.

    Mark,

Are the baffles bores "clipped" or just straight round holes?

No clipping. I want to hear it with 5 baffles to start. If it's barky, I can add another baffle in the blast chamber area, and possibly modify the baffles a bit.

It seems the general consensus with F1 builds is that un-clipped baffles have disappointing sound performance.

    Hey Clint,
Can you explain what clipping is?

Not that I know a lot about suppressors but I've never heard of this.

Mark / Papabear, cant wait to see your thought of this can vs some of the others that you have.

Along with excess backpressure for a given bore diameter.
