I'm using a set of the BCM covers on an ALG handguard; they're certainly secure on it with no wiggle or any sign of falling off. I like the additional grip that the texture of affords over a set of Magpul Type 1 covers on another hand guard. Neither one seems to help much with heat mitigation on the handguards I'm using.
