    MLok covers

I wanted to get some covers for the MLok handguard on my PWS MK216.
I ordered a set of BCM covers, but to my disappointment they fall off when shooting.
I emailed BCM and was told that their covers are only designed to work with their handguards. Disappointing, but I did not know that companies were using their own specs for the slots.
So, any ideas for covers that might fit better?

MLOK slots are specific dimensions, I’m sure. I very much doubt anything is supposed to drop out.

Magpul makes two different versions. I have the wide ones on some handguards.
ERGO makes some, as well, which I used briefly. Not because they weren’t good, just because the purple color I chose did not assist in interesting my wife in shooting.

I've got BCM's M-LOK covers on a few Aero and Centurion handguards, and I haven't had one fall off yet.

I've got Magpul Type 2 covers on one handguard, and they work well. I plan to use them for my current upper project.

It seems BS’y that anybody makes their own slot dimensions. To be honest I was hoping to get an offer to return them.

I haven't ever had any issues with the BCM covers, however compared to the two piece styles they are not as secure. The BCM style relies on a flexible plastic and a friction fit to stay put. Two piece designs such as Magpul Type 2s, in my opinion are superior, as there is a middle piece that physically spreads the locking tabs into the MLOK points. On top of that the hard plastic allows for a more rigid fit than a flexible locking tab that doesn't utilize the entire MLOK opening.

The Magpul type 2 covers are my favorite. They do a much better job at heat mitigation than the thin BCM types.

I'm scratching my head at them falling out though. Every rail I've used them on, they had to be snapped into place and removing them took considerable pull to get them out.
