CLP or any of the gun oils that advertise that they have cleaning properties.

Old and close minded here... Breakfree CLP has worked for years. I still have some labeled Rand CLP. Militec-1 for pocket guns. You want to start a war... Start an oil thread!

Besides brake cleaner and a good oil (ALG Go-juice or Slip2000) for normal cleaning, I've found that oven cleaner works well to clean off hardened, sticky Froglube.
