    Help identify this barrel nut

I'm looking to change the handguard on this spare upper I have but not sure what type of nut this is and which tool will remove it?

I have the Magpul armorer's wrench but it doesn't appear to match up.

Never seen one of those before, but you could try a strap wrench or small oil filter wrench

Sure looks like an ALG barrel nut except it looks a little short. Maybe an old version?

It looks similar to ALG's barrel nut, their wrench might work...

Do you happen to have a picture of the rail?

I'm thinking a strap wrench might work but if it's stuck maybe I might have a bit of an issue with it.

I’d need to see a picture of the front but a PRS wrench may work.

Apparently it's a Magpul MOE Round Rail. It looks very propriatary and some have said a PITA to remove.

Can you show us the front? Does it have holes? It looks sort of like some Aero Prec. However, those have holes in the front for a standard armorer's wrench...

Looks like you have it figured out; disregard...
