A friend recommended this forum. He's a real stand up guy - retired cop, an ex-marine. They don't come any finer. Since he said this was a good place to hang my hat, I guess I can feel pretty comfortable here.
The last time I shot an AR was when it was called an M16. That was a long time ago. I've been retired military since 1996.
I've been a gun enthusiast and a recreational gunsmith for a number of years now. Most of what I have been playing around with has been AKMs, and tactical shotguns, but they bore me now, so I figure its time to expand my world a bit and dig out that DPMS lower I bought a couple years ago.
I'm a machinist by trade. I love to hunt and fish. I hope that I can add something to the board.
