    At 67 it won't be 30 years for me. Nothing to do with insurance but I would rather go without the suicide tag hung on me. Around here in salt water with 30 feet of 3/8" chain wrapped around your waist the evidence won't last more than a couple of days. The crabs will be fat and happy!

    My opinion fwtw. Don't know your family or family dynamics. Do what others said about power of attorney and being him home, to you. He won't like it, you'll most likely hate it, it will drive your wife nuts, it'll probably be miserable all around.... but it's family. To me that's the beginning and end of it.

    This is also a great time to consider protecting yourself and your loved ones financially in the future. You can get insurance for long term care, and it’s not a bad idea to take out a policy so that when the time comes a nursing home does not own all of your shit and put your family in debt.
