LMT Question: Difference Between LM8 and CQB

I'm looking into acquiring a LMT 5.56 rifle and I'm stuck at trying to understand what the differences are between the LMT LM8 and the LMT CQB.

Is it just the rail differences between the two?

    Thank you.

Pretty sure it’s just the rail types. Would love to hear if someone knows more.

That's what I concluded as well, but wanted to make sure.

Lower, barrel, charging handle, and BCG are all the same. Only difference should be the rail.

    No problem.

Quick note, seeing as the LM8 uses a proprietary mounting system, I'd get the MLOK rail if you're looking to run a slim handguard on a primary rifle. The MLC is also about 0.18 lb lighter than the LM8. (Although, if you want a full 16" rifle with the MLOK upper, you may have to place a custom order.)

On the other hand, if you just want to put a gun in the safe, the LM8 goes on some pretty serious discounts sometimes and an LMT's an LMT.
