Wal mart to donate unsold ammunition to Law Enforcement Dec 29th

Take it as you will. I ran into a friend just now that’s employed in sporting goods at my local Wal Mart. They told me that word was given to them that all handgun, .223/5.56, and 7.62x39 that is unsold by December 29th will be donated to area LE agencies.

Unsure if it’s been posted previously or not. If it has you can disregard.

I'll have to check with the local Walmarts and find out if they are doing the same thing. We have small agencies with limited training budgets that could use some help.

If true, it probably has more to do with them discontinuing sales and virtue signaling than altruism. That said, I’m gonna look into this, and maybe some under-budgeted guys can get more range time.

Could be because once WM jumped on the anti-2nd bandwagon most folks went elsewhere for ammo even though dropping in the local one to pickup an extra box or two is sometimes convenient.

I mean, at the very minimum it's going to a good cause. Not like the crap Dicks pulled with their AR15 inventory.

I never assume any corp does anything due to altruism as the primary motive.
