Had an odd experience, was wondering if anyone had one similar.
Curiosity got the better of me, and I ordered a pair of G3 Field Pants in tan. At my age and in my occupation, MC or other camo is too high profile. And, in the era of YouTube stars and “active shooters,” an oldster like me should eschew all camo.
Nevertheless, when the trousers arrived they were MC in the wrong size. Checked my invoice and I made no mistake, they just sent something else. No big deal, I requested an exchange via email, and they said a hang tag would be sent.
Waited for two weeks and no hang tag; then the replacement pair arrived with hang tag enclosed. The replacements were the wrong size (again) and MC camo (again), so I again I requested an exchange. Got e-mail authorization for the switch, sent the first pair back on them, and the replacement pair back on me.
Two weeks later, I see they refunded my original purchase. Then, they charged me again, and in the same day credited this second charge, back.
I figured this must be a sign of sorts, and I should just buy a basic brown pair from Tru-Spec and be done. I’m no operator and not LE.
But I’m still scratching my head about the repeated errors on Crye’s end - is this normally the way they operate?
For the record Crye makes really, really nice trousers BTW ... just wish I’d received the right pair from the get-go.
Oh well...
