Or they go a smart way. They see the kids tearassing through BFE Upstate NY on the news with unlicensed nuclear accelerators and the Ecto 1 and realize they gotta step in and keep them from blowing themselves up.

I hope that’s what happens and Paul Rudd acts as the fanboy go-between.

Actually even if somewhat small scale, it’s not a bad concept.
A buncha kids find your dead buddy’s old Ghostmurdering gats. They are OBVIOUSLY unlicensed, if they weren’t banned by the ATF in 84 they damn sure are now, and like there are ghosts.

Besides what about Monster Squad or Lost Boys? At this point, they can’t really lose too much.

I mean....they are talking about Gunners Seats.

Saw the movie last night. It was really good. It's a continuation of the original storylines.

If you go see it, there are two after credit scenes.

My one quibble is that they gave the Wokesters a win by letting their killing off the Ugly Little Spud stand. (Unless Jason Reitman makes another and brings Slimer back to play, and is saving him for that... he was a good mascot, and assistant when Tully suited up to be reinforcements in GBII.) Other than that, from what I've seen looks like a nice job of passing the torch between generations and threading the needle to draw new fans without antagonizing the old.

I thought it was pretty good as well. It could work as one and done or intro to more movies. They left it pretty open.

There's an obvious sequel hook in one of the postcreds, but I won't spoil it--you'll have to pay close attention.
