I don't find recoil all the unpleasant. Akin to a hot 110gr and 125gr 357 from a similar firearm.

Maybe it is imagination but 327 seems louder. Maybe it is. But I think unpleasant muzzle blast gets correlated into more recoil since things like eyes and some inner ear bones are sensitive to pressure. Even with good ear protection some of the little bones take a beating.

An extra 10,000psi will do that. (45k vs 35k). Mass of the projectile has a big impact on recoil, but loudness and tone are really just about the gas.
Go Ukraine! Piss on the Russian dead.

    I think it's a higher frequency.

And could also just be louder because .327 has a higher pressure limit than .357.

I like both of my .327 revolvers... 6 & 7 rounds in compact packeges

    Very nice!

I wanted to get a slightly larger, heavier, longer-barrelled revolver that could still be carried.

I had narrowed it down between a 28 oz 3 inch sp101 .327 and 28 oz Colt King Cobra .357. I decided to go with the Colt.

I've already got the .357 dies and 158 XTP bullets coming, too. 🙂

Good choice, as the Colt undoubtedly has a better trigger than the SP101.

    I'm hoping for that, too. I've had about 3 Sp101's, all .357's.

I bought my first SP .357 in 1993. It serves as my road trip handgun...
