Happens to all of us... next goals:
    1. Stay below 200, preferably 195, until Thanksgiving.
    2. Make 190 before Thanksgiving.
    3. Allowing for Thanksgiving and Christmas, be back at or below 200 at New Year's.

Not looking forward to my weigh in tomorrow. My wife and I went to Annapolis to check out the city this past weekend and I wasn't real strict with eating. Also just bought a new house and ours just sold so getting things ready to move/sell all week after work and haven't been in the gym much this week. Guessing I put on a pound or 2. Not going to let it get me down, just need to refocus.

Will check in with weight tomorrow

253 this morning. On a maintenance phase through October after losing 80 lbs since beginning of the year. We just went through the process of buying a house and selling ours. Moving at the end of the month so figure this would be a good time to just cruise along and just not gain any weight. Going to pick things up in Nov and make sure i stay good through the holidays. Still getting to the gym at least a few days a week

Wish I had seen this thread earlier! Started 2020 at 6'1" and 275 pounds. From January to June, I lost 95 pounds and went down to 180. Too fast, honestly, and I knew nothing about/paid no attention to protein consumption; I just cut calories (drastically) and did intense cardio constantly, which I hated. I was losing weight fast enough I had acquaintances asking if I was ill. Lost most of the fat but a significant amount of muscle. I switched to mostly lifting weights (moderate intensity cardio on off days) 3x weekly with a powerlifting focus and figured out my diet going forward. Was honestly shocked at how weak I was at first; I guess that's just part of it when losing 4-5 pounds a week.

Eating more intelligently and lifting weights brought me back up to 210 with a 34" waist. I have been sitting there for about a year and expect I'll stay in this general ballpark. I've found a form of exercise I truly enjoy for the first time in my life. Current big three (bp, sq, dl) are 265, 335, 445, which are thoroughly unimpressive for a powerlifter my size but are huge numbers for me. Felt really cool to hit the "1000 pound club" for the first time in my life at 35! I'd love to be at 315, 405, 500 in a year or two.

Honestly, I'd do it the exact same way all over again, though I wouldn't necessarily recommend it to anyone else. My willpower was such that I needed to see the weight on the scale go down every single day (which is normally unrealistic) to stay motivated. There were only two days the entire 4.5 month period I was losing weight that the scale read the same as the day before or fractionally higher.

    Welcome, rockapede.

195 zip on the dot to start the week here. In a season of normally gaining, I'm inclined to call "holding steady" a win.

I’m questioning the point of this thread? I was in early but dropped out as it seemed more of “dear diary” than anything else. If you’re trying to lose weight get serious about it. I think I was in the 190’s the start out this year, that’s a near high for me. I admittedly like the drink and that’s my biggest source of weight gain if I let myself go. I don’t like being heavy, period. I’ve been sticking to a no drinking at all during the week and set a goal of 10 miles of total running minimum during the week. Weekends are free game.

I’m at 180 and feel great. Ideal weight is 170, working towards getting there.

Don’t take this as flak, take it as real talk. Stop talking about it and start being about it.

For the record, I have three school aged kids and a fairly demanding job. I make sure to find the time to do what I need to do to stay healthy.

The point is to help people stay motivated and keep making progress to their goal. I have not been as active in here as I once was but it sure helped me accomplish my goal when I was more active in here.

There has been some good dietary and exercise tips here but this had never been a hardcore high pressure thread.

I really should get back in here more. I too have gained back since reaching my goal. I haven't gained it all back but more that I would have liked to.
