In the last 2 months after changing jobs and not having to worry about the hassle, I've lost 25 pounds without changing my eating habits. The trainings were as they were. The only thing that has changed in my diet is that I eat less sweets. And before that, stress seemed to be seized by sweets. And in the main meals, everything remained the same. I can eat both fried potatoes and pork - everything is fine!

189.0... trying to hold the gain down because I know what's coming at Thanksgiving, and I'd really like to have some gravy and dressing with my turkey this time after skipping 'em last year.

Yeah, I miss when there were actually enough of us to have a traditional family dinner, even though it was folding chairs and TV trays. Now with only three of us alive, my aunt just swings by Denny's or Shari's and picks up their holiday dinner combo-packs.

Oh, to have a kitchen and table where I could actually spread out and prepare things the old-fashioned way...

187.8... time to start adding the 1-lb "winter offset" for living in my sweats again. I'd say 2020 and winter can go to Hell, but I have a feeling it and we are already there.

Advice, though I'm probably a bit younger: When diet planning, bake in some allowance for a little gain in the holiday season. Winter tends to make us do less and eat more trying to stay warm and maximize time with family, and back in my 20s and early 30s my usual habit was at the coldest part of winter having my calorie intake double that of the warmer seasons. (Peak consumption starting from Halloween until Last Snow/Freeze, then immediately cut in half and burn down insulation fat reserves until around Labor Day, then start ramping back up for next winter.) Worked as long as I was more active and my metabolism hadn't yet hit Middle Age Slowdown...
