Not sure if this is the right page but... I've been sick recently (diabetes/TB combo) and I've lost a huge amount of weight for me. Normal is right around 200, but I went down to 160. Today, I weighed in at 182. It's actually a lot tougher than I thought it would be to put back on the weight. But I'm getting there. Just wanted share. Keep up the good work gents!

Thats a pretty significant weight drop. Glad to hear that you are feeling better. Guessing that if you are diabetic you need to stay away from certian foods? Is that contributing to the difficulties getting back to where you were?

    Jumping back in here...

    179.9 on my regular scale.

No bueno; this is primarily the result of eating trash. Not eating more, but not eating well. That’s the main reason. Back got messed up about two weeks ago, so had to limit working out, as well.

So, at this point, to go back to the origin of the thread, I know I cannot hit the 170# goal by Thanksgiving. However, just dropping around 10# of fat and re-adding some muscle will make the year a success. Will continue to work at it; reality check again on food choices. I can eat a ton, but using soda to stay away on 14 hours days isn’t a great idea.

187.2 overnight high ending the week. JediGuy, trading fat for muscle still counts, you're reducing fat weight and improving lean mass--this proves that just one stat isn't the end-all be-all.

Try getting some caffeinated bottled water? I've been switching to unsweetened black and green teas for my caffeine hits lately myself... owner at my usual "early lunch" stop a couple times a week (technically BEFORE they open for the day, but said owner sees my first sale of the workweek every Monday AM as a good-luck charm) has been "riding shotgun" with me through all this trimdown work and she tries to keep a few bottles tucked in the back of the reefer case for me.

I had been limiting caffeine for a couple years (limited, not eliminated). Use to get caffeinated water via Amazon on Subscribe and Save. You’re right... Might have to start that up again, if work is going to continue as it has the past few months.

fitness I keep it simple, I believe in functional strength so my fitness regime consist of running, HIT workouts, and weights - mainly dumbbells and kettle bells. I've never been one looking to win a body building competition, but I like feeling in control of my body and not the other way around.

    174 today

That's after breakfast, might be a little less than that but still over 170. My goal for turkey day was 165, I'd like to realistically maintain between 165 and 170 unless I start putting on some muscle.

For a little bit I got to 166-167 area and the wife said I was starting to look a little scrony. That's about what I weighed when we met about 15 or so years ago.
