Started the week at 194.4. A little more breathing room for Turkey Day...

Coming off Thanksgiving weekend at 195.0. Was down to 193.8, so less gain than expected, probably from not having the usual binge on sugar-loaded cranberry sauce.

Still on two "double" and two "single" ten-minute-mile-with-bagdrag mornings a week, trying to ramp up more pushups and situps on the mornings I don't have those as a few more "bites out of the elephant."

    How is everyone?

I have not focused on weight loss for quite a while now. But, I haven’t hit some of the performance goals I have. Thinking about either coming back to that here once I get my gym set up, or starting a new thread.

Steady in a range from a little over 185 to a little over 190 here. As long as this one's gone and lain fallow, it might be good to start "Volume Two" and post a link to it as the period at the end of this one.

I lost about 20# with my cancer bullshit, but now working out pretty regularly and holding in the mid-170s. I have put on a bit of size/mass from workouts and gained no fat, so I am pleased.

Will Brink has helped me out with some nutrition advice, and a couple others here have helped me out with some workout planning.

My diet is 'meh', need to tighten it up re: beer and ice cream.

I agree that a healthy diet is important, but it is not enough for weight loss, especially if you need to lose a lot of weight. When I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes, I needed to lose about 60 lbs. Of course, I was on meds that helped me (I'm happy that I read about Victoza online and talked to my doctor), but still, I had to change my diet completely and do exercises every day. But what worked the best for me was intermittent fasting.

Looks like a steady "new normal" for me over the past few years since this thread was active is around 180-185. Still a bit chunky, but a darn sight better than when I started into this game at 240 where you could have torn me down into raw biomass and made TWO Civil War-era horse cavalrymen at the same height out of it. (History lesson: pony soldiers could be no taller than 5'6"--my height--and weigh no more than 120lb.) I'd LIKE to get to 165-170, but I figure I need to adjust to where I am and get acclimated so the improvement sticks before the next phase.
