(Peak consumption starting from Halloween until Last Snow/Freeze, then immediately cut in half and burn down insulation fat reserves until around Labor Day, then start ramping back up for next winter.) Worked as long as I was more active and my metabolism hadn't yet hit Middle Age Slowdown...
I'm just about to turn 42. This really is the worst time for eating for me. Just in Oct and Nov we have 3 family birthday parties, Halloween candy and Thanksgiving.

I was hoping to be a bit lighter going into the season but over I'm happier wth where I am seeing where I started.

Wife and I took the weekend start clearing out a lot of ju.k we had been collecting in the basement to make room for an exercise area. She had been walking a few miles most days a week. But now that it is dark so early and getting cold we want to set up our treadmill somewhere that we can actually use it.

So we're actually chronologically closer than I thought, my body started acting like "40" at 35. Until me, my folks were lucky that their birthdays were every other month from January to September, none over the holiday season. Then I came along in June and a disowned-and-disinherited (when I refer to myself as "last living" it's in a "he's dead to us" sense) cousin in December...

Surprisingly about 185.8 this morning after a carb heavy Saturday; with dine-in closed down here that means I'm stuck with sandwiches for grocery/errand day lunches since everything else is problematic to eat in the car.

Since this thread was originally set up with my OP mentioning Thanksgiving as the goal end date, I did weigh myself on Thursday. Not close to where I wanted to be, but an improvement.

    178.3

Now, I had a two part goal, with the other part being deadlift weight. I dislike excuses. A lot. However, some things happened this year, and I need to not even try a deadlift currently. No, I didn’t overtrain or lift poorly; completely unrelated.
That said, I have the same goals, but need to work out a new timeline. May do something a little shorter term.

My short term go will be to shed what I have gained over the last few days!

Still quite a bit lighter than when we started but I've let my self creep back up more than I'd like.

Forgot to report Sunday morning, but steady at 188.8 even with all the Turkey Day carbs.

The odd step backward here and there isn't a problem, as long as you get your two or more steps forward's worth out of it. Hang in there, keep on keepin' on!
