I could say something like: Oh, been working out more, too, mostly absolute strength but with some hypertrophy focus thrown in there.
    That wouldn’t be entirely false.

But the reality: Baby was born last half of last week, so ate multiple hospital meals, including Einstein bagels sandwiches both mornings, had little movement outside the house (except for taking two other kids to Cabelas to see the animals and fish and give mom a break), and ate an entire pumpkin pie (with fake-food cool whip, because it is the best) that my mom drove 300 miles to deliver.
    I’m ok with either story.

    Congrats on the new baby!
    And adding some muscle mass

    I am 186 today.
Think that's down a bit from last week but not much. I was also delivered some delicious food yesterday. Family member works at a restaurant and came by with an order of buffalo tenders and Fries that the wife and I split.

Oh yeah, wife said she wants to try doing that Keto diet. Think you cut out sugars and grains?

She does the shopping so I pretty much just eat what she brings home unless I ask for something specific.

I read it but it's a job to remember every persons details all the time.

PS, I just spent 5 mins looking for him, it does not look like he's trying.

"I just turned 41, and at my last checkup my Dr my results say I'm knocking on the door of being pre-diabetic. I have nothing against Diabetics, but I personally don't want to be one.

    Quick info on me:
    As I said, I'm 41.

Keto is slashing your net carbs--fiber carbs don't count.

Ended the week at 203, one morning at 200 on the nose and two in the 199's. Slowing down and I suspect approaching plateau, but still a net drop for the week of 0.4.

Honestly I'm not really trying to drop weight real quick. I'm trying to eat healthier portions and make a few small changes to see if it results in me losing some unwanted weight. Basically re-establishing a new norm for myself.

I've done diets where I cut out a bunch of foods or try to get in a bunch of gym time. That works to drop weight but once I stop I go back to my normal self.

My docs have told me the same about gradual, comfortable lifestyle change as opposed to temporary dieting, to quote one "better a slow, steady glide than a crash dive." Dunno about anybody else here, but I place more stock in the opinions of accredited professionals than internet randos...
