I could probably lose weight eating Taco Hell... catch is, I'd be spending most of my time on the john because that stuff triggers Montezuma's Revenge in a very big way, and "Shit Yourself Skinny" is not my idea of a viable weight management strategy.

Just don't eat it all the time then.

This is a typical meal for me now, three meals like this a day will keep my weight more or less stable.

I have found that cheeseburgers are excellent for increasing weigh if needed. I had two today.

    182lbs today.

Been using an app called Carb Manager (can share more details if anyone wants) it has you input your stats, tell it where you want to be and pick from a few lifestyles.

Been tracking what I eat with that, most days I'm below what it tells me I need for calories and carbs. You can scan foods in if they have barcodes, then select the portion you are consuming. You can even search for stuff.

Oh and I've also been trying to consume more water. Between 1/2 to 3/4s a gallon a day.

All valid components of a healthy lifestyle that can get you to a healthy weight range. IF you can sustain if for the rest of your life. Managing carbs is important, if for no other reason the metabolic effects relative to managing cholesterol (increases HDL) and lowering trigycerides. Carb-based “diets” like the Taco Bell diet or the “potato diet” (I can’t write that without chuckling a little) aren’t sustainable and ultimately don’t provide the same effect on triglycerides. If one wants to choose a new dietary lifestyle, there are thousands to choose from. Some are based on valid science and some are written by (and usually adhered to) by kooks. Pick a diet that can actually form the basis of a lifestyle.

I’ve been using MyFitnessPal, which is not bad. Carb Manager looks intriguing, especially since it’s more setup for keto which is what I need to do.
