196.2 ending the week, only 0.8 drop. But a tenth here and a tenth there and soon you're talkin' real numbers, right?

Lose 0.8 lbs per week and you'll be over 40lbs lighter in a year.

So yeah, around a pound a week is something.

Yup, that's pretty much how I already DID drop over 40lbs the past year. Starting at 240 last April, goal was 200 or less by my 40th birthday in June, now it's just going for bonus points and trying to get my normal 10lb seasonal weight gain/loss cycle down into more desirable summer lows and winter highs.

Edit: Ended the week at 195.2, total drop an even pound. Still on a comfortable glideslope to maybe make 190 before Time Zero.

All right... I missed my usual daily weigh in, so I think I’m going to cheat and weigh later this evening. No solids, only clear liquid after noon today, plus a “cleaner” in the evening (none of this was optional)...
So, I’ll take advantage of the situation and drop back down a bit today.

It’s cool to see the progress people have made just over the last few months. Nice work to all; every pound or fraction of a pound is progress.

    176.8

Kept the efforts going, re-weighed at 175.6. This is not necessarily healthy weight movement, so it will either jump up a bit or stay similarly if I work at it the rest of the week.

Doubly so with how the deck's stacked against us by gym closures, de facto mass house-arrests and in my case restaurants switching to delivery-only platforms that can't accommodate my usual keto special requests. I've been eating a lot of Jersey Mike's salads lately... it's funny, my mother is on the one hand constantly carping in spite of my trimdown about "you need to lose weight so you don't end up like me" and on the other the carb-addled breadhead is constantly griping about "why can't you just eat the same things I do at the same late time of day as I do?!" Freakin' DUH, doing what she does is how she became a dependent-on-others-to-do-everything-for-her 350lb landwhale that can't walk fifty feet or stand more than a few seconds and I packed on 80 pounds over 15 years... some people just don't understand the concept of discipline, or only do so selectively I guess.

Have any of you guys tried the Lose It! app? I started last week and it makes tracking calories and nutrients very easy.

I have not, though I’ve used a couple similar type apps, I think. Is it all meal/calorie management?

Yes. You put in your age, height and weight along with how much weight you want to lose by when. It then calculates how many calories you should eat. You input each meal along with your daily exercises and gives you your calories for the day. It also breaks it down by percent fat, carbs and protein. It is very easy to use. I will say that I have lost 17 pounds since February first by intermittent fasting and weight lifting/cardio. I don't eat breakfast, eat 200-400 calories for lunch (usually boiled eggs or protein bars) and then a normal dinner. This gives me 16 or so hours of fasting per day and is simple and easy to maintain. The Lose It! app has been helping me make sure I am balancing my eating and not going overboard on calories daily.

Good info, I’ll have to take a look at that.
Overall, I tend to be on a similar setup for eating - no breakfast, light or no lunch, full supper.
