Im 42 almost 43. 6’3 used to weigh 250-260s tried to go back into the .mil in ‘18 but was told I had to drop weight. Rode my bike to work, home for lunch and back to work. For meals I did meal prepping with measured portions and did a workout program with weights after work with time on a treadmill too. Went to the local football field and ran the bleacher steps. I cut out all sweets and alcohol. I also used intermittent fasting to boost my metabolism.
I dropped 35lbs in 39 days to get me to 220 lbs. I weighed in at meps in okc at 212lbs, 8lbs under my max weight.
Left eye kept me from rejoining which unbeknownst to me was a blessing.
Weight has stayed off, heaviest Ive gotten back to was 226 back around Christmas.
215 on the scale this morning. Got soft for a few months back at it again now.
Forgot to post after weighing Friday morning
295.8 from 299.6 down 3.8 pounds from last week. 36.2 pounds since I started in January

I was 177 this morning. Mostly from eating more than I typically do, should even back out throughout the week.

170
older millennial
12% bf according to scale (decent vascularity and striations so probably decently accurate +/-)
lifetime high: 235
short term goal: add 5-10 lbs of lean mass
long term goal: preserve the progress i've made
I lift 5-6 days a week (ppl) and mainly use a spin bike for cardio. Eat 1-2 meals a day and the vast majority of which are home cooked meals.
293.8 this morning so down 2lbs from last week.
Just picked up a flatbar gravel bike to keep up with the exercise on the weekends. I skied almost every weekend during the winter which is a decent workout if you go for a full day. Figure the bike will keep things active on the weekends. We have rail/trails, doubletrack, and single track close by.
Does anyone else bike? I didnt go crazy on my first purchase spent $800 on a Salsa Journyman Flatbar,(650b tires) but it should be able to do everything i want it to. I always had mountain bikes as a kid and that is originally what i was leaning towards, but after some research the one a chose should be much better for the type of riding i will be doing
