Good frame of mind, not getting fixated on the odd inevitable step backward or even building in allowance for some as long as overall the ball's still moving down the field. When I take my break, I figure hitting 210 will be my Back To Work tripwire unless the week runs out first.

Just dropped my dog off at the veterinarian. Her step-on scale weighed me seven pounds heavier, 167. Scale is inaccurate. Watch those lying scale.

So the question is... Is the vet scale right, or your scale...

But the scale of the problem is enormous. Most scales are not well calibrated. That’s why I try to just use the same one each time, so at least the increase/decrease is relatively accurate.

In the end, the key for me is to weigh in every day at the same time - for me, I wake up, go to the bathroom, then weigh in. I never weigh in any other time. The human body fluctuations throughout the day with food, water, etc so it really doesn't tell me much.

I keep this up regardless if I am trying to lose weight or just maintain. It keeps you from really letting go. I even have a small travel scale for week long work jobs.

For Thanksgiving and Christmas / special holidays, I weigh in that morning then give myself off until the following Monday and am always at that weight or usually a tad less.

Regardless if the vet scale is right or not, weighing in on the same scale gives you the trend and total weight lost.

Was trying to reply back yesterday but got side tracked with the kids and never came back to it.

One of my biggest issues (too many to list, lol) is binge/over eating.

When I'm losing weight I'm eating more smaller meals throughout the day. Drinking lots of water. Skipping high sugar foods and drinks.

I tend to drop weight then get back into having soda more and more throughout the week, starting with 1 a week then will keep doing more and more. Going put to eat and finishing the over sized meals instead of setting half or more aside to bring home.

End of the year is always tricky, from October on I have my two sons birthdays my birthday, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Lots of candy and good food.

Wife never made me my birthday cheesecake... maybe I won't remind her lol.

I was actually surprised, as I thought weight had gone up a slight amount.
The toddlers “helped” me rearrange the basement/lower level, so I’ve got the old pads down, as well as the kettlebells. Not on an organized plan yet, but regularly going down to move stuff and get back in the groove.

    187 today.

Just took a mini vacation to Disney, lots of walking but didn't eat the healthiest either...

Ended the week at 204.2, a gain of 0.4. Low was 201.2 Friday morning; gain was probably attributable to my mother insisting on dragging me to her favorite Chinese carb-hell while out to get the week's groceries. (I don't think even that would have been a problem if it had been early in the week giving me time to adjust for it; just happened to be timed just right to screw my weekly metrics.)

Happy to not go up... But kicking soda (and chai tea lattes) alone has probably made the biggest difference in the past several weeks-month. About to hit the road for work again this week, which really presents the challenge.
