    Mass shooting in Czechia

Several victims of mass shooting in Czechia: 6 dead, 3 wounded. Shooter commited suicide in his car when confronted by Police. He use ILLEGALLY possessed 9mm pistol of Czech manufacture. Nevertheless European left already blame too easy access to legal firearms in Czechia for shooting.

Very sad event in an otherwise very safe, friendly country. Czech Republic recently lost an appeal regarding E.U. directives on tightening gun laws, too. They have a very strong culture of private ownership of firearms there. I hope their media and government don't use this tragic event as pretext...

Tomorrow in Czech Senate there will be official hearing regarding constitutional right to self defense using arms. To be incorporated into Czech Charter of Fundamental Rights and Freedoms.

I remember times, when nobody believed USSR will fall in our lifetime short of total, nuclear war.

EUSSR wil go down sooner than everyone expects. Problem is that it will probably take down most of Europe with it.

Some might question the timing of this shooting, if that's the case. I talked to a few Czechs about guns my last time there and they either owned them, or were generally supportive of the right to own them. I don't get the impression that their opinions on the matter are as fickle and subject to the news cycle as they are here, though.

Interesting timing. Kind of like the Vegas shooting.
