Agencies of the US, the real action was happening behind the scenes locally, in the State Houses.

Everyone had the clear view of what happened in California and Illinois, etc. but never imagined it could happen in MY State - it was the President and Congress going to screw you over and that was the general consensus. Instead, it has sneaked up behind the Gun Community close to home...and fast beyond belief. The Gun Community thought it had States' Rights to insulate against an over reaching Federal Government, but instead got the "All Politics is Local" result. Instead of nationwide Boogaloo, it will be a confined "Booga" over here, and a little "Loo" over there - all in the same State, neighbor against neighbor. That is if it ever happens at all............
I wrote some time ago in another forum that in the future what firearms you can own and carry will be determined by what state you live in not by what the federal government does..

It ensures they gain and maintain power. It's only hypocritical if they were interested in fairness when it comes to elections. If they want to ensure everything is tilted in their favor, it makes perfect sense to get those bills passed.

Canvassing the big media outlet news stories, the following narrative is indeed being promoted:

The locals are terrified of impending violence at the rally and it will all be the protester’s fault, and,

The proposed gun laws are reasonable and it is a myth that the local government will want to take away anyone’s guns

Which goes to show that being completely and egregiously misinformed never stopped anyone from commenting on an issue and having that viewpoint being presented to the world as factual and well informed by a sympathetic news source interested in promoting their take on events.

Personally, I think we all know the McVeigh line about the Fed building is propaganda BS, BUT, that still doesn't mean anyone thinks it was a good outcome as an example of 'resistance" or whatever. Sheesh. Pick a better example.
It’s a really touchy subject because McVeigh was a true terrorist who committed an evil act. Yet in any legitimate discussion of .gov overreach you have to rationally discuss the cause and effect of those interconnected events.

McVeigh was reacting to his government legit murdering American citizens and getting away with it scot free. He wasn’t alone as citizen militias were popping up all over the place. McVeigh just took it straight to 11 and skipped every other step. Sadly, it worked. It was the end of the militia movement, but it was also the end of the .gov indiscriminately killing citizens in the name of “law and order”.

What we got out of it was two decades of circumspection. When the Bundy Ranch and Mahler Refuge standoffs happened, the .gov didn’t go all Ruby Ridge and Waco on them. Yes Finicum got killed when he tried to draw down on the authorities on a public road, but no unarmed women and children were murdered. Someone in those events knew to not incite another OKC Bombing.

Bloomberg and Northam are absolute tyrants. They didn’t learn any lessons, ergo they’re going to push until innocents are killed and IMO, they still won’t learn. What we need is something short of terrorism to get it through their thick skulls that we’re deadly serious. Because if they get their way and it spreads across America, we’ll get more and more Ruby Ridges and Waco’s. That will result in more OKC Bombers. Wash, rinse, repeat.

I don’t think any of us wants that.

They want a true one party system, Russian, Chinese, Mexican style... Even the half assed two party system we have now is not enough-it produced Trump, they must RULE WITHOUT QUESTION. Any resistance must be crushed completely- they want Orwells boot on your face-forever.

If people can't understand what this is, I truly feel sorry for them. This is what Evil looks like. Take a good look....and then Fix Yourself.

Haven't heard anything on Virginia, but through the years a common complaint from state level groups is the NRA getting involved on behalf of known anti 2nd Amendment candidates and the NRA money/name recognition over riding a solid 2nd Amendment friendly candidate.

If you want to get through a tyrants thick skull then do that. Targeting innocent people because the work for the government is as low as it gets.
    You won't outvote the corruption.

To the Bloomerites, that's a FEATURE, because a populace kept in fear will eagerly clamor to give away more real freedom for a promise of illusory "security"...
