Aftermarket sights for Ruger GP-100 .44?

    Model 1761. 3 inch .44 special.

I don't care for the factory rear or front "Hi-Viz" green.

It seems "normal" aftermarket Gp100 sights don't fit this model and a few others for some reason.

Anyone know of an aftermarket choice for this model?

The GP series used to allow easily swapped front sights; using a plunger in the end of the barrel. Changed in under 2 minutes. Current generation models don't seem to have it.

If a traditional constructed front sight is your goal, a Redhawk sight might fit.

You might contact Novak about the front sight and Bowen about the rear sights.

    Thanks.

Something about the factory Hi-Viz-equipped Gp100's means they cannot use standard Gp100 front sights or aftermarket replacements.

    I'm not sure what.

If Rugar only made a GP 100 in a .41 mag...

10 mm close enough? Because they do make that.

I'm digging this one! Have zero use for it, sadly.

    Ron,
10mm is close, but Ruger also has .41 in the Redhawk and it’s can be had in a “mountain gun” configuration. I like to stay in the 4”-6” lengths...

I’ve used Bowen’s “Rough Country” RS’s on a couple Bisleys.
Seems they were listed for GPs as well.
They’re good sights, just a bit of a pain to dial in with the “opposing screws” to adjust for windage.
    Once set, they’re not moving.
A true "Gun Guy" (or gal) should have familiarity and a modicum of proficiency with most all firearms platforms.

    I'll check both, thanks!
