Help - Value of Ed Brown Kobra

Trying to help a friend at work out....I walked away from 1911s a number of years ago
He traded a custom Glock for a used Ed Brown Korbra 1911
this is a stainless full size 5" govt. model in .45ACP and has a standard fram (i.e. the frame is not bobbed)
From the picture he texted me it does not appear to be a safe queen and was carried but not at all in abused condition....overall good to very good condition.
What is a 1911 like this worth?

Probably 1k to 2k. New they are around 3k.

yea about 3k new, can be had for less new, but mid to high 2's.

So used, mid to low 2's. High end 1911's certainly hold their value. If he is afraid its worth less than 2k, I wouldnt be.

IMO your friend probably made out on the better end of the deal as most "custom" Glocks(even really nice stuff like a Zev factory gun) seem way over priced to me.

If it looks worn, my guns would be $1,800 range if he wants to move it. Look on 1911 Addicts and see all the pre owned in mint condition guns for sale. It will give you great feedback. GREAT deals can be had on that sight for 1911's.
