    WD-40 is not a lubricant. It's a cleaner. It is not meant to be retained on the surface. You are using it incorrectly.

    You realty don't want to mix cleaners and lubricants. Clean your items. Lubricate your items. Don't mix lubricants from varied sources.

    I am not using it. I won't.

    How do you remove WD40 after you use it to clean?
