When is a Glock no longer a GLOCK?

It finally happened. As with the 1911, the aftermarket has reached a point where it is now possible to build a Glock-style pistol without using any factory GLOCK parts. Zev Technologies is now offering their OZ9, made entirely from Zev parts.

It's cool, and I'm glad that things like this are being made, but I'll stick with my lightly personalized G19.

There's also the Shadow Systems MR918.

They IMO are far better than the Zev guns. Less money, still has all the bells and whistles, fits in every Glock holster out there, is just as accurate, and in a pinch, every part in the MR918 can be replaced with a factory part to keep it running.

I have quite a few rounds through the OZ-9 and I own a MR918, and will picking up another one soon. Better buy without a doubt.

Don’t forget about the P80 lowers. You can put together a quite nice “custom” pistol for less than 500.

All of this should keep Glock from getting too complacent.

Looks pretty bad ass, but I can buy four Glock 19’s For what that cost. I just don’t see the value in it. If you got money to blow and go for it though
