Not true. My buddy had a Singer issued .45 from the arms room back in Germany. I had a Remington Rand from the arms room. My gun sounded like a handful of nuts and bolts in a coffee can but it always fired. With minute of doorway accuracy.

What part isn't true? The markings? Please back this statement up with data, I'm always in for learning new things, I collected and was involved in the 1911 collecting community for over a decade.

There’s one that sold a couple of years ago for over 400,000. Taken out of a crash, virtually like new with mags in original paper.

Supposedly they are all marked by s, not singer.

Somewhere, a long long time ago, if Im remembering correctly...Ive seen an un-opened coffee can like container that contained several Singer 1911's.
They know this from the label & it was x-rayed, I saw the pics. This was many years ago, Ive always wondered what happened to that can, Singers, or not.
