    Three new Aks today!

A guy I know was selling some Aks and I made an offer and got them!

Top one is a Norinco Mak 90 essentially New in box, the mags are still in the plastic wrap and oil. Has box and everything in it.

Bottom two are SAR1s they are like new as well. The were oiled and stored since the late 90s.

I use to have a Mak like nine years ago, so I was excited to get this one. It needs cleaned up some from surface rust in some spots but that is all!

Congratulations. Don't know if it was a score or not as I don't know what you paid, but have fun nevertheless. Does the MAK 90 have a square cut receiver?

Awesome. My MAK 90 is slant cut. Then again, I only paid $179 for it, so I can't complain much.

Nice finds. What are your plans for them?

I would take the MAK 90 and make it as com bloc as possible (think Chinese Communist AKMs used in Vietnam, type 56 I believe). I don’t remember the exact details and specs off hand but you get the idea.

For the SARs, you are stuck with 45 degree angle gas block, so you can’t really turn it into an AK-103 without some major work. I had Chris Butler of AK USA in 2003 take a SAR-2 and turn it into a close replica of an AK-74M. I still have it and enjoy it for what it is. It’s a really fun rifle to shoot.

you get the idea. It definitely needs a bayonet. Then you can buy a Mao suit and go campaign for Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders, lol

I like wood on AKs if its REALLY nice. But I dont want to mess them up haha.

Gave one SAR to my dad and a buddy is getting the other.

The mak is getting refinished and I'm probably going to put some KVAR synthetic furniture on it, I know it's a pain but I have done it before!
