    Light on standard HG

What light and mount are you guys running when using old school plastic handguards or the earlier MOE handguards? Standard FSP.

    What kind of light?

    That will dictate the mount.

If you have a surefire scout type you could use one of these...

I was thinking scout or x300 or maybe malkoff.

Mount looks ideal. Guess I’ll have to choose 1000 or 500 lumens

Take a look at Arisaka, the owner is on this forum a lot and helps with questions. They sell scout type bodies with malkoff heads.

I mount my light to the FSP using this: https://www.midwestindustriesinc.com...mctar-01g2.htm

I've also heard good things about the Mossie mount: https://arisakadefense.com/products/...1913-fsb-mount

I remember that mossie! Looks flimsy but apparently it’s not.

What light are you using on the MI mount

I'm using an Olight PL-2 Valkyrie (don't judge me ). The MI mount really killed two birds with one stone for me, because I needed a front QD attachment, too. I've got one carbine class and +/- 1000 rounds with it and it's proving to be a solid piece of gear.

Lol. Excellent! I see that Streamlight has a 1000 lumen model too and it’s fairly cheap. Maybe a bit large though.
