    I have this mount installed at the 10 O'clock position at the front of the plastic handguard on two carbines. https://www.gggaz.com/ar-15-forearm-...ght-mount.html I have recommended this mount to a few other people and they are pleased with it.

    It works well. Money saved on accessories can be spent on ammunition and training.

    When I had a front sight post and carbine hand guards I had the Midwest Industries rail section that attaches to the front sight base. It’s perfect for mounting a scout light or other light in a ring. I didn’t try it with a pistol style light though. If I had another rifle with a front sight base and carbine length hand guards I would definitely but it again.
