Is my LMT EBCG Sufficiently Staked?

I recently picked up an LMT Enhanced BCG for an AR pistol build I’m working on. Inspecting the gas key, it seems that the staking is lighter than on my other BCGs (BCMs, Noveske, Sionics & Centurion) Below is a close up of the LMT and a side by side with one of my BCMs (LMT on left, BCM in right). Is the LMT gas key sufficiently staked?

    Most likely fine.

Personally I would put it in a vice, take a hammer and punch, and give it some love.

It's fine. Over staking actually gives less grab. I had a profeshunal key come loose.

With Machine staking the displaced metal often is lower and less obvious than hand or moaks staking.

The point isn't to smear a bunch of metal at the surface, but you'd never know it now based on the 100 post "is my key staked enough threads"

I would rest assured the LMT BCG is properly staked. LMT is top quality.

I just recently purchased a Fail Zero nickel boron BCG and then A Sharps Rifle Co DLC BCG. They rock.

Might be "ok"..but it looks like shit/amateurish. LMT is good, but mine had a stock trigger so bad it bottomed out my 10lb trigger gauge, and had a "catch" in it so as to make it unusable. I put in an aftermarket & rolled on.

Staking is probably good on LMT but could be much better.

The screws on the LMT are slightly hexagonal which means they are far less likely to come loose than perfectly round screws. Nothing to worry about. Go put about 40,000 rounds through it.

Basically, LMT using machine staking (the well-defined rectangular divots are the tell), not the standard MOACs type staking, so it looks quite different, but still works just fine.

Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose.
