Not even going. Planned on it last year because I was so much closer to Vegas. But getting passes for everyone in my business was so problematic I said "screw it, not worth it." At the same time people who are NOT FFLs but have Youtube channels were getting passes with less hassle.
It's hard to be a ACLU hating, philosophically Libertarian, socially liberal, fiscally conservative, scientifically grounded, agnostic, porn admiring gun owner who believes in self determination.

    Chuck, we miss ya man.

I really need to attend this show some day. I wish they'd come back to FL again. I hate Vegas.

    That sounds about right.

Board policy mandates I state that I shoot for BCM. I have also done work for 200 or so manufacturers within the firearm community. I am prior service, a full time LEO, firearm instructor, armorer, TL, martial arts instructor, and all around good guy.

I also shoot and write for various publications. Let me know if you know cool secrets or have toys worthy of an article...

Are Wolfs’ rounds copper jacketed lead, or copper jacketed steel? The range I use doesn’t allow steel projectiles. Pardon my ignorance, I never f#ck with Wolf or Barnaul. But the chance to train with my 300blk more has me curious.

Wolf has such a ‘bad’ name, at a local range they wouldn’t let me shoot Wolf Extra Match 22lr ammo...
The Second Amendment ACKNOWLEDGES our right to own and bear arms that are in common use that can be used for lawful purposes. The arms can be restricted ONLY if subject to historical analogue from the founding era or is dangerous (unsafe) AND unusual.

    It's that simple.

    Most Wolf is BiMetal jacket.
Thin steel covering lead, then thin layer of copper

I’ve gone for years and now have the luxury of deciding to go/not to go. I’d rather not get behind on work or get the bird flu so I’ll be scoping releases here and SSD.

I’m interested to see if Surefire stops stepping on their dicks and starts releasing industry leading products again. I know, don’t hold my breath.

That said, the DF600 was released in 16/17 and while the dual battery option is sweet the head needs an update. Modlight is a good reference of what’s possible here.

Next is the pistol vampire light. Streamlight includes an IR laser now. It’s not perfect but it’s an option and a competitive price point. Earlier this week Armsunlimited was pushing the SF vampire light out the door for $212 which is blow out pricing.. so chances are they have something up their sleeve.

It will also be interesting to see what light options start showing up for the G48 series (glock, no rail).

Will Q unveil their new hotness at the show or wait until things calm down?

Will BCM drop a AR10 style rifle?

Will Hodge start producing guns in larger numbers?

What does SOLGW & Sionics have up their sleeves?

None of this is Masada but it’s good to have something to look forward to. Evolution, right?

Honestly, an M600DF with an emphasis on throw, and an X300V DF and M600V DF with a decent white light output would make me happy. The current vampires with 350 lumen white light are lacking by 2020 standards.

Leupold VXR Patrols seem to be on closeout. I hope we see a true 1x update with a better reticle and dial controls. I wouldn't even care if it stays 4x on the top, as long as it stays 12oz and firedot.
