Anyone using Accurate 2520 for 75 grain bullets?

Just wondering if anyone else has had good luck with heavier bullets and Accurate 2520?
My goal was to get a velocity of 2350 fps.
Given it's the middle of winter, I'm not dead set on my loads from yesterday, but here's some results I got.
Worked up ladder loads from 23.8 grains to 26.2 grains (these are 5.56 pressures according to the Accurate reload chart)
Saw no pressure signs at all.
I know these aren't awesome numbers but I hit the velocity goal and will rework in the summer time and fine tune to get better numbers.
Fired 10 shots of IMI 77 grain OTM to verify a similar velocity. (2334 fps ES: 53 SD: 16)
    Temp was 5 degrees.
    Gun: 10.3" bbl with EOTech
    Bullet: 75 grain BTHP
    OAL: 2.240"
    Primer: CCI 41
    Powder: Accurate 2520
    23.8 gr
    Avg. 2209 fps ES: 74 SD: 32

    24.4 gr
    Avg. 2272 fps ES: 74 SD: 28

    25.0 gr
    Avg. 2334 ES: 53 SD: 28

    25.3 gr
    Avg. 2405 ES: 56 SD: 21

25.9 gr *(best, and most accurate)
    Avg. 2431 ES: 35 SD:14

    26.2 gr
    Avg. 2431 ES: 71 SD:25

I did have more inbetween the amounts listed but didn't want to bore you guys too much!

    I intend to use AA2520 for 77 SMKs out of a 5.56.

Awhile back, Blackhills OTM 77 gr was on sale, but still pricey. Everyone raved about it as MK262, etc. I bought some to see what was the cause of excitement. Out of a Larue 20" barrel, I am getting 2800 fps. But no one knows the secret formula (other than proprietary powder).

Johnny's Reloading Bench on YT has a whole series of his efforts to duplicate the load. AA2520 is doing the best out of the dozen or so powders he had tried. Oddly enough, 25.20 (AA2520) grains is the sweet spot.

I've watched some of Johnny's reloading bench mk262 clone videos, they're really long though!
I was basically trying to make an economy version of the mk262 with the 75 gr bthp instead, as they're a lot cheaper.
My test group with the IMI 77 grain stuff was the tightest group of the day.

The first and last 10 minutes are where the pearls are in JRB.

I bought 500 77 gr SMK seconds to limit cost inputs. Most reports I have read say that seconds are cosmetic. We'll see.

Let me know how they turn out for you.
Are you going to lobby day on Monday?

If 75's get you where you want to be, this seems to be a good deal (more so in 2 × 500)

Been awhile since I have bought from them(anything can happen over the years), but I have had good dealings with Hitech when picking up orders at Knob Creek.

I was going to when it was Lobby Day. This is the first occasion in a couple decades with full Democrat control.

However, when the event turned into the CF that it is shaping into, e.g., fences, counter-protests, states of emergency, armored Bobcats, etc., the rule of stupid applied. (Don't do stupid things with stupid people in stupid places at stupid times.) I don't think anyone is going to actually get in to meet with any legislators.

I attended a county meeting. The local legislators held a townhall for input before heading to Richmond. Overwhelming support for RKBA. I don't think it had any impact on their agenda. The party has dictated the outcome, constituents be damned.

One of my best loads for my Mk12 Clone is 23.9gr of 2520. My chronograph said 2670fps, SD 11 and ES 24, accuracy is astounding for me, .384"@100yds for a 5 shot group. I've loaded many hundreds of rounds of this load and it never fails to make me smile, its boringly accurate, predictable and fun. 2520 has worked for me with a variety of different bullets, weights and guns. The load above also loves my 14.5" Noveske guns, all 3. 27gr of 2520 with Barnes 62gr TSX is a killing machine too. I just bought 4lbs, along with 4lbs of ARComp, 4lbs of 8208xbr,3 lbs of TAC and a pound of CFE223 to try. These and Vihtavuori N530 are my favs for 5.56
Here is the Barnes 62gr load, 3 rounds @100 yards.

And here is a 5 shot group with the 77gr SMK @100 yards

    Heck, here it is with 22.3gr with a 69gr SMK, 5 SHOTS @ 100yds.

It's the 5 with the ink around it. The other one is a part of another group of 5 with 23gr of 8208 under a 77gr SMK seen here.

    And 22.9gr under a 69gr SMK

As I said, I love that powder because it always performs very well for me.
If you cant find more 2520 or even if you can you owe it to yourself to look a ARComp. With 22.1gr I shot a .289" @ 100 yards, 4 shots. Remember I always shoot 5 shot groups and that 5th round blew it for me. I was on my way to a 1 hole group but no, I screwed it. Anyway, here it is too.

I'd like to add that while these loads ARE routinely accurate, almost always sub MOA, these groups represent the apex of my shooting luck.
