    Pistol Safe

Anyone have experience with one of these StopBoxes? Just need something for the nightstand to keep the kids out.

I have a basic one with a key but if you needed it you gotta locate the key. Not sure how I feel about electronic lock ones.

    Don't have any experience.

But poly-carbonate? Exposed hinges? I don't play guitar because I'm fumble fingered, how's this going to work for me when I wake up?

    I'd pass.

My wife has a Hornady RFID safe on her side of the room:

I wish we had known about this one:

If you don't trust RFID, this one has a electronic lock with key back up. The website says 'the 1,500-pound-rated cable provides additional security' but I don't see a cable in any of the pictures:

I have the Fort Knox pistol box bolted into the top drawer of my bed side table. The drawer can't be removed. I like the simplex lock, as it doesn't rely on any batteries or electronics, and it's pretty fast with practice. I've liked what I've seen from the new Vaultek stuff as well.

I’m considering a Vaultek as well which is on the complete opposite end of the tech spectrum. I want their rifle safe to put upstairs for a couple long guns.
