Predictable and dumb at the same time. Of course in an election year, I suppose it was inevitable.

The tombstones will read "Died with spotless bungholes and surrounded by cases of hand sanitizer when their fort built of beans, flour and rice bags collapsed from the weight of their ammo."

“Gov. Gavin Newsom on Sunday ordered home isolation for people age 65 and older and those with chronic diseases due to growing public health concerns about the rapidly spreading coronavirus. “

“Newsom also ordered the closure of bars, wineries, nightclubs, brewpubs and similar businesses across the state. Restaurants can stay open, he said, but they need to seat patrons at every other table to create an atmosphere of social distancing.”

Tens of thousands of business owners given the finger by an authoritarian government of the type we fled 240 years ago because of a handful of sick people. If people want to choose to stay home, then that’s great. And the government can encourage that and maybe support some “social distancing” but to ORDER businesses to close and ORDER free citizens to stay home is an absolute violation of our inalienable rights as US citizens.

Who’s going to enforce this order? I want to see how this goes down when another person who feels like I do refuses to send their employees home and shut down. And as mentioned before, how are those wait staff going to pay bills etc. I also want to see the body cam videos of some CHiPpy telling my 70 year old dad to go home or be arrested... wouldn’t go well for either party..

For the folks in the medical field in this thread, is that responsible on the part of the Dr. office or not? I guess I would have expected them to test with it in our area.
They may not even have kits. Additionally, every non-life-threatening case hurts the statistics for those wishing to create panic.

Just got the word the state of Kansas is going to be recommending closing all schools for two weeks. This has to be the dumbest shit ever.

My wife and I really got screwed by this whole debacle. She is a multimedia journalist/ photojournalist for one of the last standing local papers in our area and in addition to my freelance photo work I work in sales for a HVAC and refrigeration contractor. My calendar of photo jobs cleared up really quick when all the sports stuff got canceled. I’m concerned now how the bar and restaurant closures will affect my other job.

Do you people even bother to read what's going on in Europe right now? I mean do you really believe "it ain't happening here cause 'Merica". If the bar closing is bothering you what are you going to think when they restrict travel or tell you to stay in your house, it's a pandemic it's not going away and it is already here there is no avoiding it.

Europe is a crapshoot. Doesn’t meant we are going to freak out and poop our panties. I understand you’re scared and all. But the world isn’t ending because a few thousand get sick.

The problem isn’t the few thousand that got sick or even the virus.

It’s the reaction, fear and frantic panic that is causing the damage, and regardless of the world ending or not, people are acting like it is and are helping it along in the worst ways possible.

It’s frustrating as shit to see people act like this.

I’m not taking the virus lightly nor am I in the EOTW camp, but things are getting sketchy as shit regardless of the true level of danger from the virus itself.

I’m looking at catastrophic repercussions for the business I’m involved in. Things are moving too fast, 5 days ago we were hitting goals and on track, tomorrow we’re gonna let a few people go and make pay cuts across the board.

All because people are scared shitless and acting out of fear, wether it be real or not, the effect is all too real.

He is armed and dangerous, and has been spotted in the West Side area, armed with a meat cleaver in one hand and his genitals in the other...
