It's pretty much "are you breathing?" "do you need something?" If you answered Yes to Both questions you are exempt.

Our call volume is way down, and we are getting a lot more Pts refusing on scene due to Covid fears.

We have some of the local FD medics doing call screening in the 911 call center and dispatch. People calling in for testing or with fever and a cough who want to get seen are being advised to call their doctor and we are not responding to those calls. If they are in respiratory distress we obviously respond to those.

Unfortunately we have not got to that point yet. Any time a Pt reports a complaint of any of S/S we have to respond in full precautions, then do a complete decon after. It takes forever

Either that or they are getting tested when a lot of other folks are going without testing.
    Just an observation.
I’ve noticed the radio won’t shut up about those.

Ours is also about 1/4, but some of the crap we’re getting dispatched for is nuttier than usual.

    Yup.

We’re still responding to everything, including: “I’m quarantined and I’m hungry. Yes I have food, no chief complaint”

CISA is pretty switched on, interesting.

I don't mean to lol, but lol. Yup. Me, too. And ABNAK and a few others.

I finally after 30 years worked myself into a relatively cushy Monday through Friday 40-hour work week, but all of our staff (clinical education) have screened into secondary jobs in the hospital, I will end up either in the emergency department, the ICU, or the command center (which gets my vote).

I have a feeling this weekend is my last "free" weekend.....

Point was missed, not upset about the ice cream, upset and confirming that there are jerks in the world that tamper with food. Especially right now, anyone tampering with food should be punched in the throat.

You can get in on the pool... My post 2054 above. Sat (today) midnight is what I've heard from friends. (I consider it just a rumor)

Though Trump at the press conference yesterday (Friday) seemed to give no indication, even implied he would leave it to the states.

BTW, corporate risk guy at work said we should watch the UK next week for a preview of what we will see. Either flattening worked or not enough.

I'm concerned Atlanta is not taking it seriously enough. Much folks out and about, business as usual.

DHS acting secretary just refuted any national level quarantine rumor. (7 am Sat morning on Fox)

Yesterday Ga Gov Kemp said he had no plans for a statewide shelter in place order or similar.

So looks like in GA we can be as stupid as we want!
