are we to these numbers yet ? not saying it won't be worse but the old keep people in fear tactic is still strong and this is perfect thing to use I reckon ?
sky is falling sky is falling seems we get these big scares every few years
the problem is could be like hurricane warnings folks ignore or they realize the press like the drama and folks make money of drama cause you can bet this is making lots of folks very wealthy when things go back to normal I often think there is some financial drive like global warming !!!

again will it become the next mega killer of the world like we have had a few times in history ? who knows and if these so called cures/vaccines have been created why have we not heard any real stories about them

    world wide
    151,600 people die each day
    6,316 people die each hour
    105 people die each minute

I think it's something like 15,000 children die each day under the age of 6 half of those by starvation ? not sure how accurate but pretty close as I have seen that figure
How about starvation AND a virus. Think about the starving children in Africa with Ebola!

    Deaths are only one metric.

Here are a few others to consider...

    Record setting city wide quarantines
    Widespread travel disruptions
Widespread economic and supply chain disruptions
    Months long contagious/ill/recovery cycle
    Potential reinfection risk
    Overloaded health care systems
    Drug and medical supply shortages

    ...to name a few.

I stopped trying to reason with naysayers like I have with liberals, nothing you do will change their mind.

I forgot about food, but also clean water, a pandemic could threaten a less robust water infrastructure. And the elephant in the room is if the Western Countries are tied up dealing with this within their own borders that means less or no resources to send to the third world. Definitely a bad time for a Locust infestation in Africa.

But 9 out of 10 are not airborne contagions.

Yep nothing to see here, countries routinely shut their borders down for the flu! Of course just keep waiting too see how bad its gonna be.

People will be more of a problem than the virus. If the shelves ever go empty, you'll see a whole new world.
How many Families can quarantine for two weeks with whats in the house now?
If the power goes out, who's going to be a problem?
If gas can't be pumped out of the tanks and in to peoples cars, what's going to happen?
Just saying, people haven't woke up, the whole "It Can't Happen Here" mindset prevails. We're asking the very same people who go in to the 15 items or less check out with 25 items are being asked to self Quarantine. It aint gonna happen.
Facts don't matter once the lemmings start heading toward the cliff.

Completely routine for this to happen every flu season.

Did you hear about Megan and Harry?
