That has been mentioned in the past, probably in this thread.

The forward portion of a midlength FSB is approximately 11 1/8” from the face of the receiver. The carbine cutout rail is nominally 12”......

ETA: the midlength cutout rails are an inch shorter at their longest points than the carbine FSP 12” models, on the spec sheet, so I guess there’s that.

Maybe I'm missing something. They make both the original C4 Rail, Mid Length Cutout Rail Handguard and the new C4 M-LOK Rail (Mid Cut). Aren't these what you're talking about?

No, talking about this style of rail C4 M-Lok carbine FSP but for a mid length possibly with a CMR type lock up. It would obviously need to be longer than 12".

Gotcha, that one just went right by me. Which it shouldn't have. I thought about getting that one, but went with the carbine cutout rails instead. Been a long day of plowing snow!

I would think the a Mid FSP cutout type tail would have too much flex in the bottom portion of the rail.

Does anyone know if the newer C4 MLOK will fit Vltor MUR uppers? I’m specifically talking about the anti rotation tab area?

    Thanks

I would like to purchase a rail for my BCM Kino 12.5” upper. Do I need the carbine or mid length size?
