Judging from my mid-length I would say no, the bottom rail section is pretty tight in bayonet lug area. Personally, if I were you I'd jump on the FSP version while it is in stock. I think the carbine cut is excellent for a lightweight build but you've already crossed that bridge with the SOCOM barrel.

Thanks for the reply. I like the look of the carbine cut version over the FSP version. I was originally going to go with a simple Magpul SL handguard until I came across the C4 carbine cut rail. The Magpul SL has just enough clearance for a bayonet to be mounted. It’s a bummer that the C4 won’t allow it.

I don't have a bayonet to try, but here are some pics that might help.

That FCD ABC/R with the rearward bias fits perfect on that Mega upper.

I agree, I had ordered a Geissele bolt release initially and it was too big. I just recently heard of FCD and I really like their stuff

Thanks for the pics. From the looks of it, it will be a tight fit, but the C4 carbine cut rail should be able to work with a bayonet. I guess I won’t know until I try it.

I really like Centurions barrels, but this rail seems to give up too much to keep the GI barrel nut. Keeping the form factor, but adding a longer and non-timed barrel nut would make a stiffer rail that is easier to install. I hope they continue to evolve the design past this limitation.

You mean like their CMR? The C4 is perfect for those that want to stick with a GI barrel or have no choice via a pinned MD.
