VA Bill: Class 1 Misdemeanor To Insult Governor, other officials

    http://lis.virginia.gov/cgi-bin/legp...201+ful+HB1627

Pay particular attention to § 18.2-152.7:1. Harassment by computer.

You can’t make this stuff up, they are literally trying to resurrect the Sedition Act of 1798. I can’t even.

Ol Governor Moonwalk McBlackface got sick of people telling him to go fornicate with himself on twitter.

As I said in the other VA thread, this is so ridiculous as to be bizarre. I don't know how they think this could be passed or enforced. Hell, even the ACLU should be all over this, if they had any principals at all. I'm honestly wondering if they really are trying to see how obvious their tyranny can be before triggering a violent response.
...they should have seen that arms in their citizens' hands could not make them tyrants, but that evil orders of government make a city tyrannize. Since they had a good government, they did not have to fear their own arms.

I think they really actually don’t know any better. This is what our school system produces. They’ve probably never even heard of the bill of rights.

I’d like a law on the books that calls for a legislator who introduced or cosponsors an unconstitutional bill to be forced to attend remedial history, law and ethics training.

Unless a threat to someone has been made in said free speech this will not pass Constitutional muster.

You really have to ask why Conservatives have guns? Because Liberals block freeways, burn cities, throw Molotov cocktails, loot, turn over cop cars, and think this behavior is Socially Acceptable.

That hasn't seemed to matter with anything in Virginia lately, has it?
