Indeed. They're like an anaconda; once they get their coils around you they never let go or loosen them unless made to by force. JFK understood the wisdom that you can't negotiate with someone who says "what's mine is mine, what's YOURS is negotiable," and if he were alive today even many GOP would denounce him as a "right wing extremist."
