    AR15 upper receiver trueing

I'm wanting to send my AR15 upper out to be trued and matched with a 18" barrel that I have.

Who here has done it and who did you send it to?

IMO, buy a BCM upper receiver and call it a day.

Nice snug fit of the barrel extension to upper and when mounting my rail (Geissele) barrel is dead nuts on center.

I’ve never sent one out. I have used Mega uppers and had to put the barrel in the freezer and heat the upper to get them to fit. I do know either Brownells of Midway has a tool to true the upper receiver face but have never used one.

I dont think you need to send it out as you can do the lapping with the Brownells lapping tool if you have a drill. On a decent lower all your looking to do is true up the reciver face which oftentimes does not go past the anodizing. Literally takes 5 min.

If you are looking to send it out, Robb Jensen who is a major contributor here can do that for you and also bed the reciver. Robb's info - https://eliteshootingsports.com/t-armorer.aspx

    Thank you, everyone.

I was thinking to send it out because I thought they true and match the upper to the barrel extension.

I have the Brownells tool which is pretty easy to use. I bought it in an attempt to fix a Bushmaster flat top upper that required excessive windage to zero. Turns out the upper was just a Bushmaster piece of shit. A quality upper on the same barrel didn't require the windage correction.
