Better 11.5" suppressor host...Super Duty or MK2? (more details inside)

Do not consider cost between the options listed.

All choices will be paired with:
    • Vltor A5 buffer system
    • SF Warcomp (well, the SD probably leave as is)
    • SF RC2
    • Choice of BCG, Geissele REBCG or LMT Enhanced
    • Choice of CH, PRI gas buster or G ACH

    1. BCM MK2 11.5" BFH with MCMR-10
    2. Geissele Super Duty 11.5"
    3. BCM MK2 14.5" pinned MCMR-13 as wild card so I can use an already completed ready to go lower, no $200 stamp and waiting (haven't even started that paperwork), no 5320.20 BS for travel, and I don't own a 14.5 I'd run it without the suppressor too

I do already have an SBR lower so I could pull the trigger anytime on a short upper, it just wouldn't get its own dedicated foundation until I started and waited on and received the BS paperwork

I absolutely despise gas to the face.

The RC2 is in jail for God only knows how long so there's no need to pull the trigger anytime soon, likely.

Man... In my experience, it's a crap shoot as to which gun is going to be gassy. Even with reduced gas/adjustable gas blocks, etc. Some set ups simply are more gassy than others.

No interest in rolling your own with a Sionics reduced gas port barrel?

IDK, I haven't ever done anything to beyond swapping rails using the existing USGI barrel nut or sticking the final pieces into a lower, I tend towards the safety of having the OEM or maybe Adco do things that matter and are above the level of a monkey lol

Mine is being assembled now (suppressor won’t be a available for a long while), but have you considered getting an assembled upper from BRT? They have a suppressor only 11.5” that actually updates to a optimum gas tube length, as well; it is longer than Carbine.
So I can’t speak to effectiveness, but it is a factory option that seems appealing enough to me.

I hadn't even thought of that. Will consider

The 11.5 BCM will be overgassed. I believe those barrels are ported a .076 which is quite excessive for an 11.5

    I have a bcm 11.5” with a socom 556mini2.
Its extremely gassy and will be getting a brt gas tube soon.
If its 100% suppressed, id get a dedicated barrel.

I was hoping the MK2 and the expansion chamber BS would make a noticeable difference, but, might be wishful thinking or believing too much of the marketing department

Does that barrel have threads compatible with a Surefire mount for a 556 RC2?
