    Sheriff Mace said flat out that the legislation and the red flag laws were not about safety. He didn’t expand on that and Cam didn’t ask him too. I wish more people who are viewed as normal, sensible, credible people would speak up and speak out about what it’s really about. Gun control is about control. Unfortunately most people that say that are marginalized and discounted as tin foil, conspiracy, wacko, nut jobs.

    Keep in mind Tony Mace is only one Sheriff here of the same mindset...there are 29 others. Santa Fe can pass all the gun laws they want, but without compliance and enforcement, you have nothing but worthless paper. Kind of like anti-sodomy laws that are still on the books in some southern States. People just ignore them, probably as much or more as they do speed limits on the highways in the great wide open of rural New Mexico.

    Off topic, but how are heath care options in your local as far a quality doctors including specialists? Are they close by or would you have to travel a good ways?

    Honestly it’s looking like the only way to stop much of this is for SCOTUS to expound upon the “firearms in common use are protected” part of the Heller decision and outright prohibit localities from banning any semi-auto firearm and the common OEM magazines that go with them.
    They have still done well at the federal level considering
