NFL Commish Says Rejection of Veterans’ Ad for Super Bowl Does Not Indicate ‘Lack of Support’ for the Troops

    https://bigleaguepolitics.com/nfl-co...or-the-troops/

"NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell is under fire because his football league rejected a pro-veterans advertisement to be broadcast during the Super Bowl on Sunday.

Goodell attempted to spin in his official statement, claiming that the NFL’s rejection of the ad does not mean that his league refuses to support the troops."

"The ad that was rejected by Goodell came from the group American Veterans (AMVETS) who hoped to solicit donations from patriots worldwide in order to “enhance and safeguard the entitlements” for America’s heroes. The reasoning behind the ad’s rejection was likely because it contained the message: “Please Stand.” Because so many NFL players followed in the lead of washed up QB Colin Kaepernick and refused to stand for the national anthem, this simple message is now considered controversial in the NFL’s eyes."
“The Trump Doctrine is ‘We’re America, Bitch.’ That’s the Trump Doctrine.”

"He is free to evade reality, he is free to unfocus his mind and stumble blindly down any road he pleases, but not free to avoid the abyss he refuses to see."

    Who. Cares.

You have the option to not watch or support the NFL.

It’s well know the NFL is an increasingly left leaning organization, their refusal of said ad is not surprising at all.

I would have preferred to allow the commercial. But it wont stop me from watching the game. You can bet a Colin K commercial would be allowed front and center. Or any other libtard BS would be allowed. Thats the real pisser to me. Double standard on TV all the time.

Like Bloomberg’s 60 second $10 million ad against “gun violence”.

This. If you’re going to avoid politics, then avoid politics. This just proves the NFL is on the wrong side.

But yet, conservatives for the most part will still watch the NFL. If conservatives voted with the pocket book like the left does, then maybe corporations would go back to selling products and stay out of politics.

This. Who cares about grown men playing a sport? I could waste 4 hours watching a football game and have nothing to show for it, or I could read a book for 4 hours and grow intellectually and my life be enriched. Panem et circenses.
