Owning a full auto is about all you'll get. Not worth the trade-off

There was another Swiss member here not too long ago who had an mp9 and mg42 clone. Very cool.
Jealous of the ownership laws, but not of the license to shoot situation... trade-offs I guess. How does that work with private property? Can you shoot at will if you have property?
I think in theory you could, but ... the property has to be large enough not to disturb neighbours, not accessible by the public (i.e. fenced off), safe backdrop etc. Switzerland is a very tiny country and we don’t have huge properties like you would have in Texas for example. Although I did meet a gentleman who told me his property was large enough and he was using his full auto toys on it.

To be clear the license to shoot is only required to shoot full auto weapons.

    Like I said

A small collection of « normal » guns, a virgin criminal record (which is needed for any weapon) and a bolted safe. Weapon and bolt have to be stored in separate places. And you might be subject to a police check, to ensure that you are storing them in accordance with the law. Hasn’t happened to me in 20 years yet.

    Mmh, right .....

One of the wealthiest, safest, cleanest, politically stable nation in the world, with low unemployment and criminality (and I’m not even Swiss).

I almost had a violent physical reaction to this because who in their right mind would spend that much on a glock?! Then I scrolled a further bit down...eureka moment right there.
I'm trying to find a place within peace. And if not, let us fill it with mayhem.

OLIAR15 you are such a tease! These last posts you have put up make us Americans cry.

Nice to see such a pistol. I hope you enjoy and shoot the crap out of it!

Wait... so you dont have to be a citizen to buy FA?

If I own property there, can I buy and store my FA guns there?

Thanks for sharing... this is intriguing.

You don’t have to be a citizen, but you must have a permanent residence here.
