    Gas Tube

Did Colt use the same gas tube for the commercial market AR’s and mil/contract?
I recall someone suggesting a Colt full auto rated gas tube. Is there a difference?
Colt, BCM, BRT, are stainless. Sionics and SOLGW are nitride. Are all 5 of these brands GTG?

I would consider any of those GTG.

A true mil-spec gas tube will do full auto for 700-900 rounds.

For what it's worth, I usually order Clint's gas tubes to keep on the shelf. If you get into troubleshooting, it is nice to have parts of known quality on hand.

How does your gas tube differ from a Microbest I can order through Daniel Defense?

Can't speak to where DD sources their gas tubes from.

Microbest does NOT appear to make gas tubes.

BRT gas tubes are THE good stuff, the same as found in .GOV M4s.

Does done correct nitriding the gas tube offer any practical wear longevity to the flared gas key end of a properly aligned gas tube ? Also, are mil-spec gas tubes hardened any ?
