I would be inclined to agree that if a Totalitarian Dictatorship with a history of human rights abuses can't contain it, societies whose highest concern is that of people's feefees isn't going to do so well.

I am being reasonable. We are five to six weeks behind where they are now and they haven't even reached "full tilt" status just yet- not even close. They went from 40 infections in mid December to welding up apartment buildings and locking down entire regions with hundreds of millions within two months. At this point there is nothing to show that this will be contained.

Most meds are only refillable for 90 day quatities at a time.

I’d love to see the study citing a 2% CFR, because the best data I’ve seen so far was approximating an average of 4.8%. Best. Case.

Age seems to be the largest determining factor in successful outcomes, with a statistically significant number of critically ill patients being 50 or over; however, there were two doctors who died yesterday, one 29, and one 36. The vast majority of publications are citing a 20%+ rate of ICU entry across the spectrum of patients, and a 50%+ CFR for the aforementioned 20%+, which puts the CFR at 10%. The numbers for Iran look worse, with a CFR aggregate of 20% or more, across all patients.
